Structural Supervisor Section & Hull construction

For one of our clients, a reputable shipyard in the Netherlands, we are currently looking for an experienced Hull Construction Supervisor to strengthen their production team.

Function

You are responsible for supervising the day-to-day sections and hull construction. Your solid experience on the shipyard floor allows you to guide workers, spot technical issues early, and maintain high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.

  • Coordinate and supervise daily activities of hull construction teams
  • Monitor progress and ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans
  • Organize and allocate manpower, tools, and materials on the work floor
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on support where necessary
  • Report progress, issues, and improvement suggestions to the production manager
  • Ensure timely delivery of work packages according to planning

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within shipbuilding or heavy steel construction
  • Strong knowledge of hull construction methods, welding, and section assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (ISO, GA, structural details)
  • Practical leadership skills and the ability to motivate a multicultural team
  • Good communication skills in English and Romanian
  • Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands for the long term
