Function
As an Engineer Exterior, you’ll create and analyze detailed drawings. You’ll work on parts for yachts and collaborate with production to prevent issues. You’ll also help build the information package for the drawings. Reporting to the 1st Exterior Detail Engineer, you’ll ensure high-quality exterior designs.
Specific duties of this role:
- Develop detailed drawings for various components, including paneling, railings, masts, and decorative elements.
- Analyze drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility of production parts.
- Collaborate with production teams to prevent and address production challenges at an early stage.
- Contribute to the information package for drawings.
- Communicate with the Exterior Engineering team.
- Find ways to improve designs.
- Provide clear communication and updates on project status to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in creating detailed drawings and assessing production feasibility.
- Familiarity with maritime engineering or a related field is advantageous.
- Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work within a team and under the guidance of senior engineers.
