Project Engineer Interior (€87K/year)
We are looking for a Project Engineer Interior, who will play a leading role in translating world-class interior designs into technically feasible and manufacturable solutions.
Function
As Project Engineer Interior, you will ensure that every component not only reflects the highest standards of quality and luxury but also meets strict compliance and production requirements.
The Interior discipline within the Engineering department is responsible for bringing the entire interior of our superyachts to life — from elegant staircases and intricate ceilings to luxurious built-in lounges, bars, and furniture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure interior designs meet all relevant Class and Flag regulations, as well as internal specifications
- Assess the manufacturability and technical feasibility of bespoke interior components
- Support the creation and validation of the interior scope
- Lead and coach a team of interior engineers to deliver accurate and timely outputs
- Provide technical direction, monitor progress, and ensure quality control and documentation accuracy
- Act as a link between the client, Lead Engineer, PME, production, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Monitor project progress and resolve cross-functional issues efficiently
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- +3 years as a Project Engineer, preferably in luxury yacht or high-end interior construction
- Strong affinity for yacht building and deep knowledge of interior and exterior components
- Proven team leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage engineers effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
- Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, NX, Cadmatic, and Teamcenter
- Deep understanding of production processes, regulatory requirements, and design intent
