Senior System Administrator

Function

As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and improving the technical infrastructure, applications, and workstations that support the company’s ERP, engineering (CAD), and logistics processes. You will play a critical role in ensuring system availability, performance, and security, while providing third-line support for complex incidents. Reporting to the ICT Manager, you will collaborate closely with the ICT team, including the Service Desk, and act as a key technical reference point for colleagues and external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and install a secure and high-performing IT infrastructure.
  • Execute technical application management and monitoring.
  • Ensure reliable performance of infrastructure and availability of data.
  • Install, monitor, and migrate applications, storage, and infrastructure solutions.
  • Act as a third-line escalation point, resolving complex incidents across infrastructure and workplace environments.
  • Support and guide the Service Desk in handling requests, incident analysis, root cause analysis, and implementation of changes and projects.
  • Define and implement measures to ensure smooth system performance.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues across the organization.
  • Coordinate with external service providers (e.g., network administrators).

Requirements

  • MBO Level 4 (with extensive experience) or Bachelor-level working and thinking capacity.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in virtualization (VMWare), desktop environments (Windows 11), storage, Microsoft servers, applications, and peripherals.
  • Preferably certified in Microsoft (including Azure), VMWare, and Dell.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ideally Azure DevOps.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and service-oriented approach.
  • Communicative, analytical, independent, and stress-resistant.
