Function
As a Work Preparations / Production Engineer, you ensure that the production team knows exactly what needs to be done. You translate information from Engineering, Project Management and Procurement into clear work packages. You make sure materials, drawings and instructions are ready on time so the workshop team can start working immediately. You will collaborate daily with colleagues from different departments.
- Assessing the make scope based on drawings and technical overviews.
- Translating engineering output into clear and complete work packages.
- Creating material, item and work lists.
- Coordinating outsourced work and monitoring quality and progress.
- Reviewing engineering documentation and ensuring correct information transfer.
- Maintaining overviews, calculating work packages and analyzing results.
- Identifying process improvements and recommending optimizations.
- Delivering complete work packages on time and preparing material carts.
- Aligning work with colleagues, suppliers and other disciplines.
- Providing instructions and guidance to involved colleagues.
Requirements
- MBO-4, preferably in Maritime Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- At least 2 years of experience in work preparation, production or engineering within the maritime or manufacturing industry.
- Experience with technical specifications, quality requirements and certifying bodies.
- Strong ability to read technical drawings (2D and 3D).
- Familiar with work preparation procedures and relevant software tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
