Engineers Shipbuilding (Construction and Outfitting)

Function
As Shipbuilding Engineer you collaborate with basic engineering to perform detailed design up to the production phase. You will receive the design and calculations from Basic Engineering and you will be responsible for the 3D modeling ship structures using the latest design software.
You make technical assessments taking into account the manufacturability and feasibility, closely collaborating with other technical disciplines. In addition, you create engineering packages based on the basic design and technical specs. You analyze and check the drawings in the process from engineering to production and delivery. You are able to come up with creative solutions to technical problems.
Requirements
To be successful it is important that you have good communication skills in English and several years engineering experience in shipbuilding industry . Furthermore you meet the following requirements:
- An ability to think and work at a higher professional (HBO) level.
- Demonstrable experience as Detail Engineer shipbuilding (construction and outfitting related)
- Experience in perfoming detailed calculations is prefered.
- Experienced in 3D software such as Siemens NX, Nupas, Solid Edge, Foran, Cadmatic or Catia.
- Working in a project team.
- Analytical ability and can show initiative.
- Excellent communication skills in English

U-People has had an excellent relationship with this client for many years and is involved in staffing the projects at an early stage. Currently we are looking for Engineers for several disciplines but we have our focus on Sr. Engineers detail engineering.
