Senior Electrical Engineer (Power Systems)

Function
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design and development of complex shipboard power systems, with a focus on BESS. You ensure high-quality, compliant designs while mentoring junior engineers and guiding the team.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design for shipboard power and BESS systems
- Deliver technically sound and timely designs
- Ensure compliance with project specs and international regulations
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses for power systems
- Provide BESS expertise and innovative energy solutions
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in shipboard power systems and BESS
- Strong knowledge of marine power generation, distribution, and control
- Experienced in BESS design, integration, and commissioning
- Familiar with marine regulations and classification society rules
- Skilled in ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN; Matlab/Simulink a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Proactive, results-driven, and able to handle multiple priorities
