Senior Production Engineer Hull
Are you a precise and driven Production Engineer with experience in shipbuilding or section construction? Do you enjoy translating complex designs into practical, high-quality production solutions? Then this role is for you.
Function
As Senior Production Engineer Hull, you are responsible for preparing and guiding the hull production process from design to execution. You translate drawings into detailed build plans, ensure manufacturability, and support smooth project planning and execution.
Your responsibilities:
- Straking of ship hulls (training on the job included)
- Defining and positioning seams and butts, considering shape, stress and construction
- Generating accurate production data based on manufacturability
- Plate development, forming templates and shrinkage lists
- Executing external assignments such as formed staircases, hull shapes, deckhouses, luxury yachts, art objects and bridges
- Close collaboration with Engineering, Production and Metalix
- Working with and maintaining CAD systems such as Nupas, Napa, MicroStation, Rhino and Nestix
- Reporting on progress and quality to relevant stakeholders at operational level
Requirements
- Based in the Netherlands
- Accurate, driven and proactive team player
- Strong communication skills and flexible mindset
- MBO / MBO+ level in Shipbuilding or a related field
- Experience as a production engineer or work preparator in a shipbuilding environment
- Solid knowledge of production processes, manufacturing techniques and assembly
- Experience with the mentioned CAD systems is a plus
- Willing and motivated to learn
- Available for at least 32 hours per week

- The salary for this position is up to 62K per year.
- 40 paid days off per year (full-time)
