Electrical Commissioning Engineer (PLC)
Ready for an exciting career in the world of superyachts? Your journey starts here!
Function
As an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you’ll be responsible for getting high-end yacht equipment—such as doors, hatches, gangways, and platforms—up and running on superyachts. These systems are electrically controlled and hydraulically driven.
You’ll handle everything from programming and testing control systems to troubleshooting and commissioning at the shipyard. You’ll also travel across Europe and the USA to service yachts already in operation.
Each year, around four superyachts are equipped with this equipment. Components are built in-house, installed at various yards, and commissioned at one of several outfitting locations. Using your expertise in electrical systems, hydraulics, mechanics, and software, you’ll ensure all systems perform as intended and meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and update electrical schematics for onboard systems.
- Assist in preparation, supervision, and execution of commissioning activities.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues, including on-site service abroad.
- Program, test, and commission PLC control systems.

- HMI programming knowledge is a plus (JMobile Studio preferred).
- Fluent in English and Dutch, both spoken and written.
- Willingness to travel abroad as part of your role.
