Integration Engineer HVAC Requirements Management

As an Integration Engineer – HVAC Requirements Management, you will be instrumental in shaping the success of complex engineering projects by defining and managing system requirements for Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems.

Working closely with engineering, verification & validation, and test & integration teams, you’ll manage requirements using IBM Rational DOORS and operate as a key contributor within the Systems Engineering V-model. This position places a strong emphasis on technical coordination and cross-functional collaboration to support the seamless development of state-of-the-art naval vessels.

Function

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and document HVAC-R system requirements using IBM Rational DOORS, ensuring they meet SMART criteria.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date requirement records to support engineering, V&V, and T&I processes.
  • Process and track change requests, ensuring consistency across project phases in alignment with the V-model.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate and implement requirements and design changes.
  • Analyze and manage technical data relevant to the requirements phase of projects.
  • Organize technical documentation and contribute to efficient workflow processes within the team.

Requirements

We are seeking candidates who bring the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Shipbuilding, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in technical environments focused on requirements and change management.
  • Familiarity with IBM Rational DOORS or equivalent tools; knowledge of HVAC systems is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in Dutch, German, and English (both written and spoken).
  • Strong professional references; a security screening is part of the selection process.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required.
  • Due to the military nature of the projects, applicants with (also) a non-EU nationality and/or passport or those requiring visa sponsorship are not eligible.

Offer

Monthly salary up to €5,500 (depending on experience)
38 vacation days (including compensatory time off)
8% holiday allowance
Travel allowance (€0.23 per km)
Hybrid working possible (up to 2 days per week from home)
