Design Marine Engineering

Function

As Design Marine Engineering, you will be working in the R&D team, collaborating with various project teams in order to create innovative marine engineering solutions and translate them into specifications for shipbuilding projects. This is a permanent position based in South Holland.

Specific duties in this role include:

• Perform design and development activities such as requirements analysis, concept generation, general system architecture (single-line diagrams), weight and power estimations, propulsion configurations, and main ship balances.
• Assessing new marine engineering concepts, conducting proof-of-concepts, and reporting findings.
• Producing technical documents, equipment specifications, and reports.
• Communicating effectively with stakeholders and internal teams.

Requirements

• A degree in marine or mechanical engineering, maritime studies, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in design and development within the naval, maritime, or offshore industry.
• Experience in using CAD and calculation software tools.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English language. Speaking Dutch is a strong asset.

Offer
