Document Controller
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about maintaining clarity in complex technical projects? We are looking for a proactive Document Controller to centralize, organize, and manage all technical documentation for high-end yacht construction projects.
Function
As a Document Controller, you are responsible for ensuring transparency and structure across all project documentation. You manage the flow and status of technical drawings and related documents, supporting engineers, suppliers, and project managers throughout the design and construction phases. You play a vital role in making sure that all stakeholders have access to the right information at the right time.
Your role will involve:
- Centralizing and registering all technical drawings and project documentation
- Digitizing and managing documentation using TIS and Teamcenter systems
- Coordinating with engineers and suppliers to compile complete technical documentation packages (manuals, data sheets, certificates, etc.)
- Setting up retention policies and metadata structures in alignment with the Project Manager
- Managing traceable distribution and feedback loops for technical documents
- Supporting the team with document-related expediting and follow-up tasks
Requirements
- Completed MBO education in a technical field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Document Controller, preferably in shipbuilding or technical projects
- Strong communication skills and a customer-friendly, solution-oriented mindset
- Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other documentation systems
- Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
