Project Engineer Construction

Function
As a Project Engineer Construction, you will play a key role in the engineering and realisation of the entire hull (casco) of superyachts. You will manage the full engineering scope within the Construction discipline, ensuring that all components, from the first sketch to the final finish, fit together perfectly. You will lead a team of engineers, safeguard quality, planning and budget, and act as the main link between client, design, production, suppliers and internal teams. Your technical insight and communication skills will be essential in delivering each project to the highest standard.
Your responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with regulations, manufacturability and supporting scope definition.
- Leading and coaching a team of engineers within the Construction discipline.
- Monitoring project quality, planning, documentation and technical delivery.
- Coordinating workflow and managing information across disciplines.
- Supporting meetings, reporting project status and tracking progress.
- Collaborating closely with clients, project managers, lead engineers and production teams.
- Developing and integrating innovative engineering solutions for casco and exterior construction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years’ experience as Senior Engineer or 3 years as Project Engineer (or similar).
- Proven engineering experience in Construction / Casco within the shipbuilding industry.
- Strong understanding of construction and interior design techniques.
- Proficiency in CAD and 3D modelling tools; preferably AutoCAD, Cadmatic and NX.
- Knowledge of structural design, hull and exterior engineering, moving equipment and equipment integration.
- Experience with FEM/stress analysis, weight calculations and budgeting.
- Analytical mindset, high focus on quality and achieving results.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
