Function
RINA is recruiting a Senior Yacht Surveyor for its North Europe Marine Division. In this senior role, you will be responsible for class and statutory surveys on large yachts, covering newbuild, refit and in-service projects.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Carrying out class and statutory surveys on large yachts
- Preparing accurate and timely technical inspection reports
- Assessing design, construction and repair activities in line with rules and regulations
- Planning, coordinating and supervising survey activities
- Safeguarding quality and consistency of services
- Maintaining close contact with owners, shipyards and operators
- Contributing to continuous improvement of processes and standards
- Upholding the highest professional and ethical standards
Requirements
Senior professional with in-depth knowledge of yacht building, classification and maritime regulations
- BSc or MSc in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
- Solid experience within yacht building (new build and/or refit)
- Experience with an IACS-classified organization is a strong advantage
- Fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken
- Strong technical insight and able to work independently
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Northern Europe
