Ensuring safety, quality and compliance within the superyacht sector in Northern Europe

Function

RINA is recruiting a Senior Yacht Surveyor for its North Europe Marine Division. In this senior role, you will be responsible for class and statutory surveys on large yachts, covering newbuild, refit and in-service projects.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out class and statutory surveys on large yachts
  • Preparing accurate and timely technical inspection reports
  • Assessing design, construction and repair activities in line with rules and regulations
  • Planning, coordinating and supervising survey activities
  • Safeguarding quality and consistency of services
  • Maintaining close contact with owners, shipyards and operators
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of processes and standards
  • Upholding the highest professional and ethical standards

Requirements

Senior professional with in-depth knowledge of yacht building, classification and maritime regulations

  • BSc or MSc in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
  • Solid experience within yacht building (new build and/or refit)
  • Experience with an IACS-classified organization is a strong advantage
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken
  • Strong technical insight and able to work independently
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Northern Europe
