System Modelling Specialist (shipbuilding)

Function

As System Modelling Specialist, you’ll create detailed models of ships. These models show how the ship works and help link ideas to technical solutions. Your job is to guide the project team, using frameworks to make sure everything fits together smoothly.

Furthermore, your responsibilities include helping develop a model-based system, ensuring safety, and assisting in the design process. You’ll work with architects, engineers, and clients to make sure the projects are successful.

Specific duties in this role include:

• Defining and updating system modelling processes.
• Evaluating and selecting suitable technologies, frameworks, and tools to facilitate system development.
• Provide assistance to the modelling and designs teams.
• Support in defining Requirements Engineering process strategy within the project.
• Communicate permanently with different project teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in engineering, preferably in shipbuilding.
• Previous experience in Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) and requirements engineering.
• Proficiency in advanced system modelling techniques, including SysML, system architecture frameworks, such as UAF.
• Previous experience in using requirements management application such as DOORS is considered a plus.
• Strong command of English, both written and oral.
