Senior Engineer Production Support – Yacht Building

We are looking for a Senior Engineer – Production Support to strengthen the link between the Engineering and Production teams. In this role, you’ll ensure that the detailed yacht designs translate into high class craftsmanship on the production floor.

Function

As Senior Engineer Production Support, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and validating detailed engineering designs and 3D models to ensure manufacturability, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Acting as the technical bridge between Engineering and Production, supporting the build process and solving technical challenges on-site.
  • Providing technical direction and guidance to engineers, apprentices, and subcontractors.
  • Ensuring compliance with classification society rules, flag state regulations, and company standards.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (Production, Subcontractors, Suppliers) to align on technical requirements and feasibility.
  • Driving improvements in engineering standards, processes, and methods.

Requirements

You have strong technical knowledge of yacht or shipbuilding processes, with hands-on experience in production support. You combine precision and problem-solving with leadership and communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in shipbuilding engineering, ideally in luxury yacht construction.
  • Proven experience in production support, engineering validation, and systems integration.
  • Proficiency with 3D AutoCAD, Cadmatic, and Teamcenter (or similar shipbuilding design software).
  • In-depth knowledge of:
  • o Exterior engineering and moving equipment (hatches, doors, cranes, passerelles).
  • o Systems integration, cable/panel routing, and onboard systems.
  • o Weight control and budgeting in shipbuilding projects.
  • Familiarity with classification societies and flag state requirements.
  • Strong communication skills in English (written & spoken).
