ILS Project Manager (Maritime & Defence)
As an ILS Project Manager, you are responsible for the successful integration and execution of Integrated Logistics Support within complex maritime and defence projects. You ensure that all ILS deliverables are delivered on time, within budget and in full compliance with contractual and defence requirements.
You act as the primary interface between the client, engineering teams and ILS specialists, safeguarding lifecycle performance, system availability and long-term supportability.
You make a direct contribution to the operational readiness and lifecycle control of naval vessels and high-complexity defence systems.
Function
- Developing and managing the ILS Plan in accordance with contractual requirements
- Leading and coordinating ILS Engineers and Documentation Specialists
- Ensuring timely delivery of all ILS deliverables (LSA, RAMS, documentation, provisioning, training)
- Managing planning, scope, budget and risk within the ILS domain
- Acting as the primary client interface for ILS-related matters
- Integrating ILS activities within system engineering and overall project management
- Monitoring compliance with defence standards and S-Series requirements
- Reporting progress, risks and mitigation strategies to stakeholders
- Contributing to lifecycle cost optimisation and availability targets
Requirements
For this position, we are looking for a senior technical professional with extensive experience in ILS, Integrated Logistics Support within complex project environments. Experience may have been gained in sectors such as:
-Shipbuilding and maritime installations
-Defence projects
-Industrial installations
-Aerospace
-High-tech manufacturing
- You have a strong understanding of lifecycle management, maintenance concepts and contractual defence environments, combined with proven leadership capabilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Engineering or equivalent technical education
- Minimum 5 years of experience within ILS or lifecycle support environments
- Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams
- Strong knowledge of LSA, RAMS and maintenance concepts
- Experience in client-facing roles within complex projects
- Strong analytical, organisational and leadership skills
- Excellent command of the English language (Dutch is considered an advantage)
