Technical Equipment Supervisor

Function
As a Technical Equipment Supervisor (TES), you are the main responsible person for the technical condition, operation, and performance of the Cable Burial Tool (CBT), both offshore during operations and onshore during maintenance and modifications. You play a key role in ensuring that cable burial activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the agreed burial methodology. This position involves offshore operations worldwide.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all technical matters related to the Cable Burial Tool (CBT).
- Ensure burial operations are executed in accordance with the approved burial methodology and project specifications.
- Monitor, assess, and optimize the performance of the CBT and associated equipment throughout operations.
- Oversee the correct operation, maintenance, and modification of the CBT, both offshore and onshore.
- Manage spare parts and consumables for the CBT.
- Support tender and project teams by reviewing cable burial documentation and understanding contractual requirements.
- Liaise closely with Field Engineers, Shift Supervisors, Operators, Survey, Chief Engineer, and relevant engineering departments to ensure successful execution of the scope of work.
- Continuously monitor personnel performance and promote a safe and productive working environment onboard.
- Identify training needs and ensure adequate training of CBT Operators and Shift Supervisors.
Requirements
- Technical or engineering background, preferably in offshore or subsea operations.
- Proven experience in cable burial operations and use of Cable Burial Tools (CBT).
- Strong understanding of offshore installation methodologies and burial processes
- Experience working in offshore environments worldwide
- Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and vessel management
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proactive mindset with a focus on optimization, safety, and continuous improvement
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
