Cable Lay Superintendent

Function
As a Cable Lay Superintendent, you will work on board one of our offshore vessels and be responsible for the loading, transportation, and installation of subsea cables. You will lead the offshore installation team and coordinate all operational activities and stakeholders to ensure that cable installation is executed in a safe, efficient, and optimal manner.
Specific duties in this role include:
- Managing and supervising the loading, transport, and installation of subsea cables on board vessels.
- Leading and coordinating offshore installation teams during cable lay operations.
- Ensuring that all works are carried out safely, in compliance with project procedures, HSE requirements, and industry standards.
- Coordinating daily activities with vessel crew, project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitoring installation progress and ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency of cable lay operations.
- Identifying and resolving operational challenges in demanding offshore environments.
- Maintaining clear communication and reporting to the onshore project organization.
- Adapting to changing operational conditions and day-to-day planning requirements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience with subsea cable installation projects.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate offshore teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, order, and safety awareness.
- Willingness to work on a rotational basis: 5 weeks on/5 weeks off.
