Voorman Constructie / Construction Foreman
We are looking for a Foreman Construction to take the lead in coordinating structural activities at our shipyard. If you have a sharp eye for quality, safety, and planning—and enjoy building one-of-a-kind superyachts—this is your chance to make a real impact.
Function
As a Foreman Construction, you will be responsible for supervising the structural work during the hull and superstructure construction phases of custom-built luxury yachts. You’ll lead a team of technicians in the assembly and installation of steel and aluminium structures, including decks, walls, stairs, platforms, and complex components such as jacuzzies and hatches. You will ensure that the work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship and precision.
Your role will involve:
- Lead and supervise a team of skilled structural technicians.
- Plan and allocate daily work activities based on priorities and project timelines.
- Oversee the construction and assembly of structural components according to drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate closely with team leads, assistant managers, work preparation teams, and external partners.
- Participate in coordination meetings and contribute to process improvements and planning.
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Hands-on attitude with solid technical insight into shipbuilding or steel/aluminum construction.
- MBO level 3/4 education or equivalent experience in a technical field.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- Experience in the yacht building industry or a similar high-precision production environment is essential
