As an ILS Documentation Specialist, you support clients in the development, structuring and management of technical logistics documentation within complex technical environments. The focus lies on lifecycle documentation, maintenance information and compliance with defence standards.

You ensure that all logistics-related documentation is complete, consistent and aligned with contractual and regulatory requirements throughout the entire lifecycle of maritime and defence systems.

You make a direct contribution to the availability, maintainability and lifecycle control of naval vessels and high-complexity technical installations within maritime and defence-related environments.

Function

  • Preparation, structuring and maintenance of technical documentation in accordance with defence and S-Series standards (such as S1000D and S2000M)
  • Development of maintenance documentation, task descriptions and technical manuals
  • Structuring spare parts lists and provisioning documentation
  • Managing and updating documentation databases and configuration data
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual documentation requirements
  • Coordinating document reviews and processing change requests
  • Aligning documentation activities with engineering, ILS and configuration management teams
  • Supporting ILS analyses by translating technical input into structured documentation deliverables

Requirements

For this position, we are looking for a technical professional with experience in technical documentation within complex environments. Experience may have been gained in sectors such as:

-Shipbuilding and maritime installations
-Defence projects
-Industrial installations
-Aerospace
-High-tech manufacturing

Do you not yet have formal experience with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), but do you have experience with technical documentation or maintenance information systems? Then this role is highly suitable. We will further develop you within the ILS domain through structured training and on-the-job guidance.

  • Bachelor’s degree level (HBO) or equivalent technical education
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical environment
  • Experience with technical documentation, maintenance documentation or structured information management
  • Affinity with asset management, lifecycle management and reliability engineering
  • Strong analytical and structured working approach
  • Good command of the English and Dutch language

Company

You will work via U-People on Defence-related maritime projects, primarily focused on naval vessels. In addition, you may contribute to other high-complexity defence installations and technical systems with strong societal relevance.
