ILS Engineers (Maritime & Defence)
As an ILS Engineer, you support clients in developing, analysing and implementing Integrated Logistics Support concepts within complex technical environments. The focus lies on maintenance concepts, lifecycle optimisation and ensuring long-term system availability.
You translate technical designs into sustainable maintenance and support solutions in accordance with contractual and defence requirements.
You make a direct contribution to the availability, reliability and lifecycle control of naval vessels and high-complexity technical installations within maritime and defence-related environments.
Function
- Performing Logistic Support Analyses (LSA)
- Developing and structuring maintenance concepts and maintenance plans
- Conducting RAMS analyses (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety)
- Analysing failure data and performance indicators
- Defining spare parts strategies and provisioning concepts
- Supporting configuration management activities
- Preparing ILS deliverables in accordance with contractual requirements
- Aligning with engineering, project management and documentation teams
- Contributing to lifecycle cost optimisation and availability improvement
Requirements
For this position, we are looking for a technical professional with experience in maintenance engineering, reliability engineering or asset management within complex technical environments. Experience may have been gained in sectors such as:
-Shipbuilding and maritime installations
-Defence projects
-Industrial installations
-Aerospace
-High-tech manufacturing
Do you not yet have formal experience with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), but do you have a strong background in maintenance engineering or reliability analysis? Then this role is highly suitable. We will further develop you within the ILS domain through structured training and on-the-job guidance.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Engineering or equivalent technical education
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical environment
- Experience with maintenance concepts, reliability analysis or lifecycle management
- Affinity with asset management and system engineering
- Strong analytical and structured working approach
- Good command of the English language (Dutch is considered an advantage)
Preferred:
- Experience with Logistic Support Analysis (LSA)
- Knowledge of RAMS methodologies
- Experience with FMECA or similar analysis techniques
- Familiarity with SAP or comparable maintenance information systems
- Experience within defence or naval projects
Company
You will work via U-People on Defence-related maritime projects, primarily focused on naval vessels. In addition, you may contribute to other high-complexity defence installations and technical systems with strong societal relevance.
