Function

As a P&ID Specialist, you are the key technical expert for piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and system designs within maritime engineering projects. You play a central role in developing engine room and piping systems that meet the highest performance and safety standards.

You will work on a wide variety of vessels, including yachts, commercial cargo ships, offshore vessels, dredgers, and ferries. Your focus will be on designing, calculating, and specifying the right components for complex marine systems.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design and develop detailed P&IDs for various ship systems
  • Perform pressure drop and heat balance calculations
  • Select pumps, valves, and other relevant equipment
  • Produce and maintain accurate drawings in AutoCAD
  • Ensure compliance with classification society and international standards
  • Implement and support technical improvements within the engineering team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Shipbuilding, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Some experience within the maritime industry is preferred
  • Proficient with Cadmatic, AutoCAD, and Excel
  • Familiar with international regulations and classification requirements
  • Critical thinker with excellent communication and technical insight
  • Proactive, creative, and quality-driven professional
