Structural Engineer (Offshore/Maritime Mobilisations)

As a Structural Engineer you are responsible for developing structural solutions that allow vessels and offshore equipment to operate safely and efficiently.

Your work includes:

• Designing structural solutions for offshore vessel mobilizations: engineering grillages, sea fastening structures and deck integration
• Perform structural analyses and strength calculations using FEM software and in-house engineering tools
• Evaluate the structural strength and fatigue performance of maritime structures
• Develop practical engineering solutions that meet client requirements and applicable standards
• Prepare clear technical reports summarizing calculation results and engineering findings
• Collaborate with CAD Engineers to develop detailed technical drawings based on engineering design

• Bachelor or Master degree in Shipbuilding/Naval Architecture or other relevant technical education. 
• Knowledge of specialized software such as RFEM and FEMAP and supporting software such as Python and Rhinoceros
• At least 2 years of experience in a maritime environment. 
• Experience with steel structures, offshore structures or maritime engineering.
• Ability to perform structural calculations and technical reporting.
• Experience with 2D and 3D modelling software is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English. Speaking Dutch is a strong asset. 
• Preferably already living in the Netherlands, Rotterdam area.

Their engineers design temporary and permanent structures that allow vessels to safely perform offshore operations such as cable laying, heavy lifting and subsea installation.

Working with an experienced team of naval and structural engineers, you will be involved in international projects where vessels need to be modified, prepared and structurally adapted for offshore missions.
