ILS Engineer (Interim)
As an interim ILS-Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering ILS-related activities and products for naval vessel projects. You will contribute to ensuring high availability and operational readiness of ships while optimising lifecycle costs. Salary up to €5500.
Function
In this role, you will be involved in analysing maintenance concepts, technical documentation (S1000D), supply support solutions, including special tools and test equipment, as well as training packages. You will contribute to the preparation and delivery of complete ILS deliverables in line with contractual, technical, and quality requirements.
As ILS Engineer you may work across a broad range of ILS topics. You will be part of multidisciplinary teams and support the timely delivery of ILS products within budget and agreed quality standards. In addition, you will contribute to customer satisfaction and the continuous development of ILS methodologies and processes.
Key responsibilities
As an ILS Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing ILS analyses such as LSA and other related ILS activities
- Analysing and reporting on reliability and maintainability of naval systems and equipment
- Cooperating closely with engineering and design departments and reporting to the ILS Project Manager
- Developing ILS products including maintenance concepts, LSA, RAM and LCC calculations, supply support, documentation, training, and technology transfer
- Ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and customer requirements
- Delivering ILS products and services within agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards
- Supporting the preparation and review of ILS proposals
- Contributing to the improvement of ILS products, processes, and methodologies
- Preparing technical and ILS-related training materials
- Preparing cost estimations and budgetary inputs for projects
- Studying and applying relevant technical regulations, specifications, and drawings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline
- Proven knowledge and experience in Integrated Logistics Support within a technical, engineering, defence, or maintenance-driven environment
- Experience with the development and execution of ILS packages; experience in a naval or defence context is a strong advantage
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English
- Knowledge of additional languages such as German or Spanish is considered a plus
- Affinity with naval operations or defence-related environments
- Excellent references; security screening is part of the selection process
- Permanent EU citizenship and a valid EU passport are mandatory due to the military nature of the projects
