Junior Technical Superintendent

Function
As a Junior Technical Superintendent, you will support the technical management of several vessels. You will work closely with experienced technical managers, crew members, suppliers, and external service providers to ensure that the fleet remains in optimal technical condition.

Responsibilities:
- Support the technical management of multiple seagoing vessels.
- Monitor maintenance schedules and technical performance.
- Coordinate repair and maintenance activities.
- Maintain contact with suppliers, shipyards, and service companies.
- Request and evaluate quotations.
- Assist with budget monitoring and cost control.
- Process and review technical reports from the fleet.
- Assist with inspections, audits, and classification-related activities.
- Support dry-docking projects and technical upgrades.
- Occasionally visit vessels, suppliers, and shipyards both domestically and internationally.
Requirements
- A completed technical qualification at MBO-4 (vocational) or HBO (higher professional education) level.
- A degree in Maritime Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding, or a related field is preferred.
- A strong interest in technology and the maritime industry.
- Good command of English; proficiency in Dutch or German is a strong asset.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive attitude.
- Willingness to travel internationally on occasion.
