Marine Steelwork Engineer

Function
As a Marine Steelwork Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and modelling cable support systems, cable trays and penetrations for naval vessels. You will contribute to safe, reliable and efficient cable routing while ensuring compliance with naval engineering requirements.
You will work closely with engineers and project teams from different disciplines to deliver practical and future-proof solutions.
Your responsibilities include:
- Designing and modelling cable trays, cable supports and penetrations.
- Developing efficient and safe cable routing solutions.
- Taking into account naval requirements such as EMC, shock and vibration loads, redundancy and safety.
- Coordinating with other engineering disciplines throughout the project.
- Preparing and maintaining technical documentation and project reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with or interest in cable support systems and cable routing.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn naval engineering requirements such as EMC, shock, vibration and safety.
- Experience with 3D CAD software is an advantage.
- Structured, accurate and proactive working style.
- Good communication skills and food command of English.
