Project Engineer – Construction (Structural)

Do you want to be at the forefront of building world-class superyachts? We are looking for an experienced and driven Project Engineer – Construction who will take ownership of the entire hull engineering scope – from first sketches to flawless finish.

Functie

As a Project Engineer Construction, you will be responsible for a part of the construction scope within a superyacht project, managing planning, scope, and budget for your discipline. Leading a team of engineers, you will ensure the delivery of coordinated, high-quality designs and documentation, while aligning with other disciplines to guarantee manufacturability, feasibility, and compliance with all standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the construction scope for your assigned project discipline, managing scope, budget, and planning.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables (drawings, 3D models, data sheets, documentation) are accurate, high-quality, and timely.
• Assess manufacturability and feasibility of designs in collaboration with other disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with Class, Flag, and internal standards.
• Provide clear technical guidance and instructions to internal and external engineers.
• Supervise, coach, and develop team members, while ensuring quality control of all outputs.
• Review and approve engineering packages before release to production or inspection authorities.
• Identify technical bottlenecks and propose effective interdisciplinary solutions.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers from other disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
• Support the Project Manager Engineering with scope definition, planning, and progress reporting.
• Act as key point of contact for Owners, suppliers, subcontractors, and production teams to align on requirements, progress, and solutions.

Voorwaarden

• Bsc or MSc degree in Naval Engineering or similar
• 5+ years of engineering experience in shipbuilding (preferably yacht building)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering processes, and shipyard production
• Experience with Teamcenter NX (or similar CAD/PLM systems)
• Proven leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage engineering teams and subcontractors.
• Strong communication skills, able to interact effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Dutch is a plus.
