Quality Controller

We are looking for a skilled Quality Controller to ensure the highest quality standards throughout the production phase of our client’s projects. The future QC will oversee internal and outsourced work, verify compliance with established procedures, and drive continuous improvement across production activities.

Functie

As a Quality Controller, you will report directly to the Lead Work Preparation & Quality Control / Production Manager and work functionally under the Project Phase Managers. You’ll collaborate closely with the Process Manager QA, project teams, and external surveyors to maintain quality integrity and compliance with industry and client requirements.

• Monitor ongoing production activities and verify that all work meets defined quality standards.
• Conduct and approve Production Acceptance Tests with internal teams and external partners.
• Inspect and document results using quality manuals, PAT criteria, and QC software.
• Identify, report, and manage non-conformities; coordinate corrective actions with responsible teams.
• Digitally record and archive inspection results, deviations, and improvement actions.
• Maintain and update quality documentation, including protocols, work instructions, and PAT lists.
• Advise project and production teams on quality control processes and best practices.
• Act as a key contact for external inspectors and surveyors.
• Approve or reject deviations from standards where safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction are ensured.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across production and quality processes.

Voorwaarden

• Technical background, minimum MBO Level 3 or equivalent.
• Proven experience in quality control, preferably within shipbuilding, heavy industry, or a similar technical field.
• Quality standards, inspection processes, and quality management systems.
• Technical drawings, 3D models, and construction documentation.
• QC software and tools (MS Office, SharePoint, TeamCenter).
• Measuring and inspection equipment relevant to the trade.
• Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, spoken and written.
