Electrical & Instrumentation Designer

Functie
As an E&I Designer, you will work together with your colleagues on the design of innovative offshore high-voltage substations. You will be responsible for the complete design of the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) cable infrastructure, from concept to detailed engineering. This includes building and maintaining a detailed E&I database and producing all documentation required for installation and commissioningYou will be part of the E&I design discipline, working in close-knit project teams of 3 to 8 colleagues.
Specific duties in this role include:
- Building and maintaining a complete and accurate SmartPlant Instrumentation/Intools database for E&I systems.
- Registering and managing all E&I components, cables and terminal strips.
- Connecting cables in the SPI wiring module.
- Generating termination diagrams and loop diagrams using SPI and AutoCAD.
- Ensuring cable routing and connections are correct and consistent across all documentation.
- Liaising with E&I engineers, designers and other disciplines to ensure an integrated design.
- Supporting installation and commissioning teams by delivering clear and reliable design outputs.
Voorwaarden
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience in E&I or cable design.
- Proven experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI / Intools).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and E&I documentation.
- Experience in multidisciplinary projects (offshore, energy or industrial projects is a plus).
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
