Engineer Luxury Sailing Yachts

We are seeking a dedicated all-round Engineer who want to participated in a small team of boatbuilders, dedicated to designing and building premium sailing yachts.

Functie

As an Engineer, you will be working on aluminium sailing yachts from 40 ft up to 80 ft. This position offers the unique opportunity to combine your technical expertise with your passion for sailing or boating.

As the company is a small and agile organisation, your role will be diverse and hands-on. You will not only be responsible for drafting and preparing production drawings, but also for planning and coordinating workflows. In addition, you will contribute ideas on how processes can be scaled efficiently as the business grows. Improving existing components, optimising production methods, and actively participating in the development of new yacht models will all be an integral part of your responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and produce 3D technical drawings and models for yacht construction, systems integration, and outfitting.
• Collaborate closely with design studio, production, outsourced work and project manager to translate customer requirements into precise engineering solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in design and production processes, with a focus on quality and innovation.
• Oversee technical documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability, materials, and system configurations.

Voorwaarden

• BSc in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or related
• Proficient in 3D CAD (such as SolidWorks, Inventor, NX, Rhino or similar)
• Preferably, experience in the maritime sector or boating / sailing would be nice
• Hands on mentality, and committed to transforming technical drawings into premium results on the water
• Excellent communication skills in English.
