Project Engineer – Construction
Do you want to be at the forefront of building world-class superyachts? We are looking for an experienced and driven Project Engineer – Construction who will take ownership of the entire hull engineering scope – from first sketches to flawless finish.
Functie
As a Project Engineer – Construction, you are responsible for the complete casco engineering scope of the yacht. You lead a team of engineers and serve as the link between the client, shipyard, and subcontractors. Your goal: to ensure that all construction elements come together seamlessly, meet the highest quality standards, and are delivered within time and budget.
Your role will involve:
- Ensure all construction designs meet technical and regulatory requirements
- Assess manufacturability and provide input for project scope development
- Lead and coach a team of engineers within the construction discipline
- Provide technical guidance and ensure correct and complete documentation
- Coordinate engineering tasks, manage information flow, and support planning
- Act as the key technical liaison between client, engineering, production, and suppliers
- Collaborate with subcontractors, internal disciplines, and the yard to ensure smooth execution
Voorwaarden
- Bsc or MSc degree in Naval Engineering or similar
- 5+ years of engineering experience in shipbuilding
- Strong experience with quality control in steel construction or shipbuilding (hull phase)
- Able to read technical drawings and work with inspection tools
- Knowledge of applicable safety and quality regulations
- Solid communication skills in Dutch and English
- Willingness to travel frequently to yards and supplier locations within the Netherlands
