Team Lead Manufacturing Engineering

Are you ready to lead innovation at the heart of naval shipbuilding? As Team Lead Manufacturing Engineering (ME) at our client you’ll be at the forefront of delivering excellence in the production of world-class naval vessels. You’ll provide hands-on leadership to a team of Manufacturing Engineers and drive operational performance within our Project Department.

Your mission? To ensure your team has the tools, knowledge, and support they need to excel — and to continuously improve how we build the vessels that protect and serve across the globe.

Functie

As Team Lead ME, you will focus on enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across all manufacturing disciplines: Structures, Piping, Outfitting, and Mechanical. Through careful analysis of workflows, equipment layout, and assembly methods, your leadership will directly contribute to the high-quality production our client is known for.

As Team Lead, you will:

• Lead and mentor small to mid-sized ME teams, including performance reviews and professional development.
• Monitor and optimize the full vessel manufacturing process, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Manage team capacity and capabilities to ensure optimal performance and project readiness.
• Coordinate with Project Management for short- and medium-term planning and execution.
• Align closely with internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time, on spec, and within budget.
• Establish and implement team procedures and policies in line with strategic goals.
• Drive improvements in departmental workflows and engineering standards.

Voorwaarden

• A Bachelor’s degree (with 7–10 years’ experience) or Master’s degree (with 5–7 years’ experience) in a technical field.
• In-depth knowledge of naval vessel production processes.
• Proficiency in ERP/PDM systems and CAD tools such as SAP, Cadmatic, and Inventor.
• Proven leadership experience in engineering or shipbuilding environments, ideally in naval or defense-related sectors.
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset for driving industrial process improvements.
• Willingness to travel internationally, possibly for extended periods.

Monthly salary up to €7,500 (depending on experience)
38 vacation days (including compensatory time off)
8% holiday allowance
