Head of Yacht Management

As a Head of Yacht Management, you are responsible for leading and further developing the global yacht management organization, overseeing a growing fleet of luxury yachts across multiple international locations.

You will lead a team of experienced Yacht Managers and play a key role in transforming the organization towards proactive, year-round yacht management. Combining technical expertise, customer focus, leadership and commercial thinking, you ensure that yacht owners receive a consistently high level of service throughout the entire lifecycle of their yacht.

This is a senior leadership position within the management team with regular travel to international service locations. 

Responsibilities:

• Managing and supporting a team of Yacht Managers responsible for individual portfolios of yachts.
• Further developing the year-round yacht management approach across the international fleet.
• Coordinating the technical quality, maintenance planning and overall condition of the yacht fleet.
• Supporting complex technical, warranty and service-related matters when escalation is required.
• Assisting Yacht Managers in discussions with yacht owners, Captains, Engineers and other stakeholders.
• Improving maintenance planning based on yacht usage, technical history and expected future requirements.
• Supporting commercial opportunities related to maintenance, upgrades, refits and yacht improvements.
• Improving processes, systems, KPIs and reporting within the yacht management and service organization.
• Coordinating warranty matters and recurring supplier issues together with Engineering and Newbuild teams.
• Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Newbuild and international service teams to provide consistent support to yacht owners.
• Monitoring departmental budgets, commercial targets, customer satisfaction and retention.

• BSc or MSc degree in a technical or maritime field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in yacht management, service, aftersales or fleet management.
• Experience with complex yachts or within the maritime industry.
• At least 3 years of experience leading a team.
• Experience in developing or improving a service or fleet management organization.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to communicate with Captains, Engineers, suppliers and yacht owners.
• Commercial mindset with an understanding of service, upgrades, refits and customer value.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
