PLC / SCADA Enginee

Are you an Automation Engineer with experience in PLC and SCADA systems and would you like to work on technically challenging maritime projects? For a growing engineering company in the Rotterdam area, we are looking for a PLC-SCADA Engineer who wants to contribute to advanced automation solutions within the shipbuilding industry.

As an Automation Engineer PLC-SCADA, you will develop and implement automation software for maritime systems and installations.

You will be involved in different stages of the project, from software engineering and configuration to testing and commissioning.

Your responsibilities include:
• Develop and program PLC and SCADA applications
• Translate functional requirements into practical automation solutions
• Configure and integrate control and monitoring systems
• Perform software testing, troubleshooting and validation
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation
• Work closely with electrical, mechanical and automation engineers
• Support system integration and commissioning

To be successful in this role, you have a strong interest in industrial automation and enjoy working on complex technical systems. You are analytical, proactive and comfortable working together with different engineering disciplines.

Furthermore, you have:
• HBO working and thinking level in a relevant technical field
• Experience with industrial automation, control systems or process automation
• Experience with PLC programming
• Knowledge of SCADA and/or HMI systems
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic documentation
• Good command of English
• Maritime experience is an advantage
