Project Leader Mechanical Engineering

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering complex engineering projects? We are looking for a Project Leader Mechanical Engineering to oversee the design and execution of innovative mechanical systems for high-end, custom-built luxury yachts. In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary projects from concept to completion, ensuring the highest standards of quality, planning, and technical excellence.

As a Project Leader Mechanical Engineering, you will be responsible for leading mechanical engineering projects and coordinating the successful delivery of complex onboard systems. You will manage project planning, technical coordination, and collaboration between internal departments and external suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specification.

Your responsibilities include:

• Lead multidisciplinary mechanical engineering projects from concept through final delivery.
• Coordinate the engineering of propulsion systems, engine room layouts, piping systems, HVAC, plumbing, steam systems, and other onboard mechanical installations.
• Manage project planning, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate and support a team of engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure engineering documentation and technical drawings are delivered accurately and on schedule.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Purchasing, suppliers, and classification authorities.

• Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering.
• Experience leading mechanical engineering or multidisciplinary technical projects.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, project control, stakeholder management, and the analytical ability to solve complex technical challenges effectively.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
