Senior Electrical Engineer
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to take ownership of assigned electrical engineering scopes within high-end yacht projects.
Functie
In this role, you will act as a key technical expert, guiding a team of engineers and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of high-quality engineering packages.
You will be responsible for transforming initial concepts into complete, production-ready documentation and 3D models. In collaboration with various disciplines, you’ll ensure feasibility, compliance with international regulations, and seamless integration of systems.
This is a hands-on engineering position with leadership elements, contributing both to project delivery and to the technical growth of the team and department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical engineering scope for assigned yacht projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Develop detailed designs, 3D models, and documentation in line with regulations and project requirements.
- Assess feasibility and coordinate solutions across disciplines to resolve technical challenges.
- Ensure compliance with safety, class, and flag standards.
- Review and approve engineering outputs; support production with technical clarifications when needed.
- Guide junior engineers and contribute to improving team standards and processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and production to ensure smooth integration and execution.
Voorwaarden
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent level) in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar engineering role within the yacht or shipbuilding industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems in yacht construction, production techniques, and regulatory requirements.
- Skilled in relevant CAD and PLM tools.
- Confident communicator in English, both written and spoken.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of coaching others.
