Lead Engineer (offshore wind projects)

As a Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in the engineering, preparation, and execution of offshore wind projects worldwide. You will work closely with multidisciplinary and international teams, both onshore and offshore, contributing to the successful delivery of complex projects. This position is based in the Netherlands or Belgium and involves regular offshore assignments.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering and execution of offshore cable installation projects.
• Define, review, and implement installation methods from preparation through offshore execution.
• Coordinate and review engineering deliverables and technical documentation.
• Prepare project work packages and support offshore operations.
• Act as the technical lead during execution, optimizing methods as required.
• Support project management with technical input, planning, and cost control.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Marine, or related engineering discipline.
• Several years of experience in offshore installation projects, preferably cable installation.
• Strong engineering background combined with offshore execution experience.
• Willingness to work both onshore and offshore, including international assignments.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
