Transport Engineer

Functie
As a Transport Engineer, you’ll utilize your specialized knowledge in heavy lifts and transportation to oversee shipbuilding operations, land and sea transportation, and special manoeuvring actions. Your responsibilities will include crafting hoisting plans, coordinating project documentation, and ensuring the smooth execution of transport and replacement operations.
Specific duties in this role include:
- Develop and maintain production facility layouts to optimize construction sites and building strategies.
- Provide guidance on ship berthing for launching, outfitting, and guarantees.
- Manage hoisting and turning of sections, blocks, and rings, including creating lifting plans and drawings.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, transport companies, procurement, and production teams on transport logistics.
- Conduct risk assessments for special transports or activities with heightened risks.
- Prepare project planning procedures and analyses, collaborating with project leads.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of departmental processes.
Voorwaarden
We are looking for a Transport Engineer with at least 3 years of relevant working experience. Additionally, the following requirements should be met:
- Demonstrated experience in heavy lift engineering and operations.
- Proven track record in realistic work sequencing planning, preferably in shipbuilding or maritime sectors.
- Familiarity with vessel lifting, vessel loadouts, and transportation operations.
- MBO4 or BSc in a relevant technical field, preferably maritime or shipbuilding.
- Proficient in English, with additional languages preferred.
