Instrumentation Designer

Are you an Instrumentation Designer eager to work on complex projects for the offshore industry? Are you looking for a long-term challenge in the Netherlands? If so, we have a challenging opportunity for you!

Function

As Instrumentation Designer you will be involved in multiple projects, from small-sized instrumentation projects to multidisciplinary projects, from conceptual studies to detailed design. You will be responsible for developing the drawings and lists that allows the E&I construction & installation team to build the instrumentation design. This position is based in Rotterdam area.

Specific duties in this role include:

  • Preparing instrumentation detailed design deliverables such as cable list, telecom/fire detection block diagrams.
  • Drafting design deliverables for instrument/telecom/fire detection layouts, loop diagrams and connection diagrams.
  • Liaise and interact with other disciplines to ensure the perfect integral design.
  • Having technical meetings with clients, classification societies, suppliers and other third parties.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has experience in multidisciplinary projects (offshore oil & gas/renewable industry). Strong communication and analytical skills are important for this role. Additionally, the following requirements should be met:

  • Relevant technical educational background.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Preferably experience with offshore platform design and HV substation design.
  • Good command of 2D/3D CAD software, knowing Smart Plant Instrumentation. AutoCAD or E3D.
  • Excellent English both written and spoken.

Offer
