Geotechnical Engineer

Function
As Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for preparation, performance and support of geotechnical design for offshore installation projects.
Specific duties in this role include:
- Working closely with other departments in order to evaluate the geotechnical design and the geotechnical design process.
- Execute geotechnical site surveys, acquiring essential data to support engineering analysis.
- Checking the geotechnical design prepared by subcontractors.
- Compile concise geotechnical reports containing discoveries and engineering guidance.
- Engage in cross-functional teamwork to incorporate geotechnical aspects into project frameworks.
- Detect and minimize prospective geotechnical hazards in construction scenarios.
Requirements
For this position we are looking for an Engineer with a strong background in geotechnical engineering. Furthermore, the following requirements should be met in order to be successful in this job position:
- Having a Bachelor or a Master degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Civil, Mining, Geo-engineering or similar).
- At least 2 – 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the offshore industry.
- Proven experience in geotechnical analysis, foundation design, and site investigations.
- Knowledge of geotechnical software packages for analysis & design such as PLAXIS or GeoStudio.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
