Naval Architect – Weight Control and Hydrostatics
For one of our clients, leading company in the maritime sector, we are currently looking for a Naval Architect with previous experience in yacht building projects. This is a permanent position based in South Holland.

Function
As a Naval Architect you will be responsible for developing designs and performing stability and weight calculations, naval engineering analyses ( such as propulsion, watertight layout, speed, range, tank capacity, noise requirements). The ideal candidate will need to have a creative, logical, and inquiring mind.
Specific duties in this role include:
- Create stability books (preliminary and final) and get them approved.
- Perform the inclination test and ensures approval.
- Representing the company in the inspection and follow up the resulting actions.
- Responsible for drafting the relevant SAT protocols.
- Improving the working methods and standardization.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in the area of naval architecture, alternatively a technical degree with relevant experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in vessel design and stability calculations.
- Proficient user of Maxsurf and AUTOCAD.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
