Hull Structural Engineer

Function

In this position you will be a crucial part of the team as a ship structures engineer, caring out design assignments, prepares sketches or completes detail and layout drawings using Cadmatic Hull and AutoCAD for various ships and projects.

Specific duties in this role include:

• Prepares design drawings for shipbuilding structures/systems.
• Developing construction plans, section, and foundation drawings, as well as outer deck arrangements using 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Prepares working plans and assuring the regulatory compliance.
• Working close with a dynamic team of professionals to deliver top-notch solutions.
  

Requirements

• Technical Education in Naval Architecture and minimum 2 years of relevant work experience into Shipbuilding.
• Familiar with class and statutory regulations, along with proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD systems (Cadmatic Hull, Catia or Solidworks).
• Excellent communication skills in English, also knowing Dutch may represent an advantage.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn from others.

Offer

The company offers you all necessary trainings to develop yourself along with 38 holiday days per year. The base salary for this position depends on your experience and capabilities. Furthermore, we provide all assistance to candidates who relocate to the Netherlands.
